We invite you and your group to yet another wonderful European experience. We are presenting you with a trip to the Green Bay area, Door County Peninsula and Lakeshore. Your European journey through this part of our beautiful state will be filled with history and culture, where beauty abounds.
Day 1
As you arrive in the area you will visit Nala's Fromagerie here you will be transported to a small village in Southern France. The store overflows with cheeses that you've never heard about, much less seen or tasted, like mozzarella di Bufala, St. Marcellin, Vallencay and 90 more varieties. Specialty meats, breads and hard to find items make this European-style cheese shop a hit!

Our journey continues to The Heritage Hill State Historical Park, a 54 acre, living History Park on the banks of the Fox River. Ride the tram or walk to explore a Moravian Church, experience life on a Belgian Farm, and visit with a French Fur Trader.

Day 2
The day will begin with The Hazelwood Historic House Museum. This museum is a beautiful example of Greek revival architecture. It sits in its original site overlooking the Fox River and is a part of the National Register of Historic Places. Hazelwood leads walking tours through the neighborhood and the very popular "If Tombstones Could Talk" Cemetery tours as well.

After leaving the Hazelwood House, TAKE COVER! Prepare to be blown away at the Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society. "Freshwater Fury" explores the great storm of 1913. Span the nautical history from early American Indian canoes to post WW II bulk carriers. Lighthouse exhibits, a 140 year old lighthouse on Cana Island, and a nuclear ballistic submarine periscope offer a beautiful bay area view.

As we approach northward a stop at Fish Creek's Historic Noble House, an authentic example of Greek Revival farmhouse architecture and is the oldest frame residence, with many original furnishings and artifacts.

A stop at Baileys Harbor to visit Northcote Clock and Stein Shop, situated on the east shore of beautiful Kangaroo Lake will allow you to browse walls of steins (floor to ceiling) and quality crafted clocks imported from Germany as well as many other gift items. Bring home a family heirloom.

After shopping we will travel to Ephraim's Village. A strong blend of Moravian spiritual values and Norwegian heritage that dates back to 1853 will offer you the opportunity to learn about the history of Door County's best loved village. The Iverson house, Anderson Barn, Anderson Store, Pioneer schoolhouse and Goodletson cabin museums are all sites to see at Ephraim' Village.

Day 3
Our morning will take us on a thirty minute ferry ride aboard the Washington Island Ferry Line. To Washington Island Its public beaches (School House Beach, Percy Johnson Park, Sand Dunes Park, The Ridges, Rock Island State Park) and the Island's interior rural spaces are a treat for the tourist's eye. Other Island attractions include the Mountain Tower, Jacobsen's Museum, the Washington Island Farm Museum, or historic Jackson Harbor.

After returning from the Island we head back down to Sister Bay to Al Johnson's. Al Johnson's is an authentic Swedish family owned restaurant where you can find goats grazing on the roof. Quite a site!

We will conclude the afternoon visiting shops and boutiques near and around Ephraim. Many of Ephraim's shops are housed in historic buildings that have been lovingly preserved. We will wrap our shopping up in time for dinner at Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor located in the heart of Ephraim since 1906.

Our evening finishes at the Peninsula Players Theatre. This theater is nestled in a cedar forest on the shores of Green Bay. This is America's oldest professional resident theatre, in its Seventy-fourth season of performances.

Day 4
We head off to Historic Rogers Street Fishing Village and the Great Lakes Coast Guard Museum. Rogers Street Fishing Village is on the French side of Two Rivers. The French Canadians of Two Rivers are descendants of immigrants from France who have settled in Quebec since the seventeenth century. Between 1840 and 1870 French speaking Canadians migrated to Two Rivers and started the large commercial fishing fleets still in operation today. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, Rogers Street is the actual site of century old fishing yards and sheds. See the 1886 North Pierhead Lighthouse and the French-Canadian kitchen and parlour.

We will also Visit Pine River Dairy in the rolling Wisconsin countryside of Manitowoc County. Browse through 250 varieties of cheese and learn about the Olm family who has owned and operated Pine River Dairy for over 60 years. The German Olm cheese making heritage began with the sons of Civil War Veteran, August Olm, in 1877.

Before concluding your travels see Fine Hand-Crafted Art Tile from the gallery of Carreaux du Nord in Two Rivers. The gallery offers a romantic glimpse of architecture from the past where the handprint of old world craftsmanship is featured. The gallery is located in the Historic Hamilton House. Hamilton Industries made the first clothes dryer in 1938.
